As we continue to home new birds we are always running out of materials such as cages. You can help us by donating your unwanted our unused materials to us and know they will be put to good use. Certain materials which we are always short of:

• Bird cages and feeders - any size. We need cages to house our quarantine birds before they are placed into an aviary.
• Food storage tubs.
• Weld mesh sheets. You may have notcied from our photos that some of our aviaries are built using weld mesh. This is expensive to buy and we are always running short.
• Bricks. To help with the new massive sanctuary which we plan to build. As you can imagine this will not be cheap so if we can obtain as many of the materials as we can beforehand this will sure make things a lot quicker.
• Plywood
• PVC

Our sanctuary is nearly full. We knew this day would come and we hate to admit it but we are desperately running out of space and are in great need to expand.

When Caged Bird Rescue first started we had no idea of how many birds we would be taking in. We had land to expand, but when we saw the numbers of birds coming in even this was too small. Our volunteers called an urgent meeting.

What we discussed was way beyond our widest dreams. A sanctuary, acres long! Two or three storeys high! Surely something like this was impossible!

But not without the help of the general public. If we got help from the British public we could give these birds the home they needed, the home they deserved.

We plan to buy farmland and build on that the largest possible sanctuary we possible can, complete with quarantine, rehabilitation areas and distinct aviaries for birds of different types. Not only will allow us to rescue more birds but give them the setting that will fully complement their development.

So how can you help?

Sponsor us: We are always looking for sponsors to help support our cause. Whether you are a school, community, business or just on your own, you can help made a difference.

Advertise on our website: For businesses who may want something in return we'll offer you advertising space on our website. Our website receives the audience you want to reach and by advertising with us you can reach them.

Adopt a bird: Unfortunately looking after these birds is not cheap. Food, heating, medical tests and the medicines, it all adds up! If you can help with the costs with looking after these birds, more money can go into saving for the new sanctuary. Plus we'll send you regular updates on your chosen bird complete with pictures.

There are many ways you can help, ways we would have never even thought of. If you come up with new ideas, let us know. Please help us to build this aviary, please help us to make a difference to these birds lives, and hopefully many more.

Our quarantine, which was orginally an side extension to our sanctaury, has become to small for us. So we have decided to build a new one. This shall be placed at a different location to the first in order to avoid any contamination spread.
